Good morning everyone,
Today, I am going to speak on the topic “Stop Littering.”
Littering means throwing waste such as plastic, paper, food wrappers, and other garbage in public places instead of putting it in dustbins. It is a harmful habit that makes our surroundings dirty and unhealthy.
Littering creates many problems. It pollutes the environment, blocks drainage systems, and spreads diseases. It also makes cities, streets, parks, and rivers look dirty and unpleasant. Animals can also be harmed when they eat littered waste, especially plastic.
One of the major causes of littering is lack of awareness and carelessness. Many people do not think about the impact of their actions on the environment and other living beings.
We must all take responsibility to stop littering. We should always use dustbins and dispose of waste properly. Recycling and waste segregation also help in keeping our surroundings clean.
As students, we should set an example by keeping our classrooms, schools, and neighborhoods clean. We should also encourage others not to litter and to respect public spaces.
In conclusion, stopping littering is a simple but powerful step toward a cleaner and healthier environment. If we all act responsibly, we can make our world more beautiful and safe for everyone.
Thank you.
