Today, I am honoured to speak on the topic “Keep Our Earth Clean.”
Our Earth is a beautiful planet filled with forests, rivers, mountains, oceans, plants, animals, and people. It is the only home we have, and it provides us with everything we need to live—clean air, fresh water, food, and natural resources. Sadly, pollution, littering, deforestation, and the careless use of resources are harming our environment. It is our duty to keep our Earth clean and healthy.
Keeping the Earth clean is not only about making our surroundings look beautiful. It is also about protecting our health, preserving nature, and ensuring a better future for the generations to come. A clean environment reduces the spread of diseases, improves air and water quality, and provides a safe home for wildlife.
There are many simple ways we can help keep our Earth clean. We should never throw rubbish on roads, parks, or beaches. Instead, we should always use dustbins and separate waste into recyclable and non-recyclable materials. Following the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle helps reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills.
We should also reduce the use of single-use plastics by carrying reusable water bottles, cloth bags, and lunch boxes. Saving electricity and water, planting trees, and using public transport, bicycles, or walking whenever possible are also excellent ways to protect the environment.
Schools play an important role in creating environmental awareness. By organising tree-planting drives, recycling programmes, clean-up campaigns, and environmental clubs, schools encourage students to become responsible citizens. These activities teach us that protecting nature begins with simple daily habits.
As students, we have the power to inspire positive change. We can keep our classrooms clean, avoid wasting paper, care for plants, and encourage our family and friends to follow environmentally friendly practices. Every small action adds up to make a big difference.
Let us remember that the Earth does not belong only to us—it also belongs to future generations. We must use its resources wisely and leave behind a cleaner, greener, and healthier planet for those who come after us.
I would like to end with this meaningful message:
“The Earth is our home, and keeping it clean is everyone’s responsibility. Let us protect nature today so that future generations can enjoy a healthier and happier tomorrow.”
Thank you, and have a wonderful day!
